About Stillwater Kids Oasis
Stillwater Kids Oasis is a creative play environment where parents can bring their children to explore their imaginations during open play. We are also the perfect host for birthday parties and group rentals. Stillwater Kids Oasis was designed with all parents and children in mind. We’ve created an enchanting space where all children, including the very special children with disabilities, can enjoy playing with one another. This space is equally awesome for hosting special events, such as your child’s birthday party!

What John & Kelly have to say:
We lived and raised our 4 children in Stillwater over the course of the past 20 years and we love our tight knit community. Shortly after the birth of our first grandchild, we noticed that something was lacking for families with little one’s in Stillwater. We are blessed to have Teddy Bear Park in the summer months but found we needed to travel outside our own town for any type of indoor play.
We also noticed that many of the indoor opportunities were geared towards the older children and focused on large motor skills, climbing, jumping, running. We wondered , why is there not much focus on Creative Play? “The work of a child is play” is one of our favorite quotes from Fred Rogers and we believe it’s true. Imagination can take a child anywhere they want to go and creates many life long skills, all while having fun.
The impending birth of our second grandchild had us thinking and we began to imagine what a space like this could look like.
And because we had the power to imagine, we had the opportunity to make it our reality.
Brenna Collins- Director
What Brenna has to say:
“I am a graduate of Stillwater Area High School. I studied at Lakewood Community College and Rasmussen College where I focused on Early Childhood Education and Development. At Rasmussen, I was on the board of Early Childhood Education. I’ve been working with children for 23 years. The past 14 years of which have been spent as a teacher at Sunny Hill Preschool. At Sunny Hill, I provided a developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom. It is my adopted philosophy that children develop and learn best through a child initiated and teacher guided play. It is imperative for a child’s development that they have ample opportunities to practice what they already know of the world around them, to learn, and practice newly acquired skills. It is through a child’s structured and unstructured play that provides opportunities for a child to express and represent their ideas, thoughts, feelings, creativity, and help develop their imaginations.
I’ve been married for 26 years and we have three beautiful children all of whom went through district 834. Two have graduated college and one is a Junior in high school. My hobbies include: an early morning jog/walk, gardening, singing, and spending time with my family. I am thoroughly excited to be a part of Kids Oasis. I am eager to build meaningful partnerships with parents and families, while helping to create an atmosphere in which each child feels safe, respected, valued, and has a sense of belonging.”
